The best stuff is the farmhouse cider (Somerset for me), cheap but very good.

I'm more of a real ale man myself, particularly fond of anything by Thornbridge, Meantime, BrewDog and more recently The Bristol Beer Factory which makes unbelievably awesome beer. Oh and can't miss off Otter beers - any of them!

Feeling rather parched now, may have to stop on way home..
Yeaaa I was just believeing the same. Could very well be cider time!

This most definitely, loads of farms 'round my way do this (live in the South West, UK). Proper cloudy scrumpy, sold in translucent 5l containers, only way to do it.

White cider and even stuff like Bulmers/Magners is just shite compared to proper cider/perry IMHO, no contest. I went to a local minifest back in the Summer, Dreadzone were playing: 25 ciders on and 12 real ales, it was nirvana.

Who said Strongbow, K or White Lightening?

Westons Vintage is what I've been drinking this weekend. A mere 8.2%. A more sensible but still delicious tipple is the Sainsbury's cider in the glass bottles with the orange label.

Went to the East coast of the UK last weekend and was shocked to find they just don't have decent cider there.

Nothing beats proper West Country zider though!

Heck's Perry is awesome too. I'm not keen on the straw pressed cider, all a bit too rustic for my liking.
