hey Green Day. now that you guys are releasing music that is about as hard core as justin bieber after taking a handful of estrogen pills you are gonna go and hate on the rebounding EDM scene. SMH

It's the same story that's been repeated many times over the last 60 years or so.

Underground scene in US starts something -> Gets completely ignored by the vast majority of the population of the US -> Gets picked up by the Brits/Euros -> Gets sold back in some horribly diluted form back to the US mainstream who lap it up.

Green Day is just upset they're completely irrelevant in every single way, and that nobody has cared about them since the 90s when their music was at least fun (though not great) to listen to. Wake me up when Green Day's career ends

I used to love pennywise when I was a kid! NOFX as well but they're still awesome and have a wicked tv series, I'd definitely see 'em again if they played a festival I was at... I don't believe they hate dj's though

When it comes to cheesy pop-punk done by old guys that refuse to grow up Pennywise so kicks Green Days ass.

i used to love Green Day when i was young, but this is rubbish from a band trying to stay "hip". These guys are like 50 year olds who didn't know when to call it quits. Let em hate dj's, it'll just finish them off

Greenday are tame Clash rip-offs and The Clash, notably, made some serious dance music like Radio Clash and Magnificent Dance. Green Day don't even understand their own roots.

Always disliked Green Day and this only solidifies it. Cheesy pop punk for kids. Makes me feel sick. Listen to Converge if you wanna hear some punk.

Well they needed a new bandwagon now that people hating America isn't the big thing >.<

Bet in a few years they release a track with Skrillex.

Edit: LOL Jet, they should be grateful if it wasn't for radio DJs they wouldn't get any royalties from the one single hit they have ever made.

Honestly with the sheer volume of pure tripe in this "rebounding scene" of yours I believe they have a point and given the chance I'd probably join in their battle, someone has to take responsibility for playing all this crap.

Although I have seen the Underground Techno and D'nB Scene rebounding a bit.
Quite right, 'EDM' is not a scene, just a term coined to describe the current expansion of commerical, TOP40 orientated 4/4 pop dance music in the US. I would call 'EDM' more as a genre and a poor representation of dance music in general (IMO of course, each to their own and all that).
