Gaaaah missed out on a korg zero 4 for $525 shipped! Posted on: 19.09.2012 by Shonda Soulier I'm crushed... I have been spying on the internet for a good deal on a Korg Zero 4 and I spotted one on eBay this morning. Buy It Now was at $499 plus $25 shipping. I thought better about my impulse purchase...my wife may not approve...better get her permission. She gave the go-ahead!I log back on to find that the auction is over...some lucky SOB snatched it 20 minutes into the auction. Has this ever happened to you? | |

Tesha Freudenstein 21.09.2012 | daaaaamn bummer |
Kamala Temple 21.09.2012 | I bought one recently and had no problems setting it up for timecode vinyl. Just sayin' . I might be selling it in the near future, no guarantees though. It is a solid mixer even if it's older. |
Shonda Soulier 21.09.2012 | Thanks for the heads up MyUsername. I appreciate the insight. I've read about the tweaks needed to make it work with TCV, but I didn't realize it could be so daunting. Definitely would rather have plug-n-play. I'm yet to have a Scratch Certified mixer and at that price I didn't want to pass it up. I probably won't jump on another one unless it's that price. Hard to beat! |

Nereida Jasnoch 20.09.2012 | AWWW man, I feel so bad for you. If you still want one in a couple of years (maybe sooner, who knows what happens) I can sell you mine. But my man, buying korg zero 4s is only great in theory. I found out first hand that it has quite a few downsides: - It's from 2007, if you can't find a new one believe twice about buying second hand, the knobs and faders are sub standard, they are useable for sure, but they are FAR from rugged. And with 5 years of use who knows what 's broken or about to break. - I had to send mine back to the shop twice, I believe it was slightly used. The guys at the store had to replace the cue knobs and the effect fader. And they had some trouble finding the parts. There could be something else that was broken as well, but I can't remember it. - DO NOT underestimate the learning curve. Mixing with it is just mixing with just a whole lot more features, nothing you won't be able to handle. But setting it up with timecode took weeks (I kid you not) to figure out. And I'm relatively tech-savy. It was brutal! -No filter dedicated per channel, you can HPF or LPF but only on the master, filtering out a single track is not possible. Just saying because it was something I've gotten used to. Apart from that I enjoyed mine a lot. Just some friendly advice so that you can make a better informed purchase in the future |
Marguerite Salsedo 19.09.2012 | Shitty buzz man, I'd still keep a lookout for one. A friend of mine picked one up this summer for around 450$ with an innofader in it, great mixer. |
