I use KRK Rokit 5's even though they are more oriented towards production but they allow me to accurately listen to my mixes. I would diffidently recommend them. Still, go to a store and play around with them, see what you like, do some research, come back, buy what you like! Good Luck!

Are you going to be producing with them? Also best advice is to try out as many monitors as you can to get a better 'feel' for your purchase.

Yamaha HS50's are very flat and have no real low end. Most guys I know that have a pair of the HS50's have had to invest in a sub as well. I found that the Yamaha's aren't that great for dance music and more suited towards acoustic monitoring, but I have ordered a pair of the HS80's regardless as they have a great bottom end and are brilliant for referencing.

Also being in the UK you can get quotes and try to haggle with other retailers to drive their price down as long as the price is genuine and the item is in stock!
