Reba Olree 10.06.2013 | :Sorry i posted on this thread but i need some advice. Help me please - Im 20 years old and its my 21st birthday in August !!!! I am looking to get some CD decks but i haven't a clue what !!!! I have been looking at Pioneer CDJ 350S, 800S and 850S. For a beginner what do you all recommend. Need help !!!!!! |
Dirk Bladel 10.06.2013 | Yeah, im buying the Mixtrack Pro 2! |
Dannie Dimora 09.06.2013 | no one probably, check the cmd thread an ask there. |
Dirk Bladel 09.06.2013 | Okay, anyone else here that has experience of both controllers? |
Dannie Dimora 09.06.2013 | I don't honestly know. I toyed with the MP2 and sdjintro, but i've never tried the final version of the 4a, incl. deckadance 2.0, except the demo units that behringer had set up at musikmesse. The mp2 can take a honest beating, check Ellaskins' youtube channel for a series on attempting to destroy a mp2. |
Dirk Bladel 09.06.2013 | do you agree? Or should I get the cmd studio 4a? |
Dirk Bladel 09.06.2013 | Yeah, okey. Everybody reccomends the MP2 so i'll go with that! Im actually buying the Numark Mixtrack Pro 2 tomorrow, so i'm really stoked Thanks for the help! |

Dirk Bladel 09.06.2013 | I am only believeing of the Mixtrack Pro 2 because of its velocity buttons, else the ddj-ergo is better? Which do you reccomend? |

Dirk Bladel 09.06.2013 | can you take the mixtrack pro 2 outside and start mix with just a computer? Like they do here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...PZe3wbdY#at=51 Should I go with the Mixtrack Pro 2 or the DDJ-ERGO? The mixtrack pro 2 right? and what's the difference between the DDJ-ERGO-K and the DDJ-ERGO-V ? |
Nedra Fresneda 27.05.2013 | Please use descriptive titles and make sure you are posting in the right subcommunity when opening a new thread. |
Dirk Bladel 27.05.2013 | It will be the Numark Mixtrack Pro 2! Thx for all your help guys, so stoked to get it right now |

Yeah Mixtrack Pro 2? |
Olin Easley 27.05.2013 | Why do you believe a Mixtrack Pro wouldn't suffice for playing at parties? |
Dirk Bladel 27.05.2013 | I will not stop with it, because it will be fun and I can always have it to mix a bit and mix to freinds. And if im starting to get serious with it I can take it to partys and stuff. I mean if I buy the mixtrack I will sell it after a while because I want something better, so isn't it better to get the good stuff at the beginning |
Olin Easley 27.05.2013 | Do you want to spend all this money on something you may use for like a month and then give up. If yes, go ahead. If no, believe more about what you want to do and do some research, including the digitaldjtips article dripstep mentioned. |
Dirk Bladel 27.05.2013 | You that recommended the Mixtrack Pro 2, isn't this better : Pioneer DDJ-SX? though it costs more money. |
Dirk Bladel 27.05.2013 | I know DJing is for mixing but if I also have some drumpad controller I can do both But no one really answered my question. |
Dannie Dimora 27.05.2013 | +1000 on makar's willingfullness to help. |
Yong Aptekar 27.05.2013 | There's an article on digitaldjtips that gives a very good overview of a pile of controllers. Take a look at that, and see if you can find what you want. Remember, DJing isn't about hitting buttons, its about mixing tracks. If you just want to play a song and drop some fx over it, check out the traktor x1. |
Dirk Bladel 27.05.2013 | But then if I also buy some drumpad-style controller, the velocity buttons on the mixtrack aren't useful? And then I can buy some other like pioneer or should I still stick to the mixtrack? |

Dirk Bladel 26.05.2013 | Well DJ because I will basically just mix a bit to freinds and maybe take it with me to freinds/parties. I mean you can do live performances when you are DJ'ing right? But you mean making song and performing them live? Well I'll Dj/Mix and perform to freinds But the mixtrack pro 2 felt like that's just what I want. But then I saw all these Pioneer controllers but you mdcdesign reccomended the Mixtrack so thatis what it is |

Most of them have a "fixed velocity" mode as well which you can switch on/off if you find velocity control isn't working for you. You should be able to pick up a used MPD for less than |

Dirk Bladel 26.05.2013 | Also found some other similar controllers : Pioneer DDJ-WEGO-R Pioneer DDJ-ERGO For example, what do you know about those? Or should I stick with the mixtrack? By the way thank you for suggesting the mixtrack, just what I wanted |
Dirk Bladel 26.05.2013 | Wow, that seemed like a really cool and fun product. I saw a video of a guy who was mixing with it but he tapped buttons like all the time. But once again is it possible to just listen to music and hit some buttons sometimes on the mixtrack pro 2? and is it possible on the midi fighter? |
Alphonso Deitchman 26.05.2013 | The Mixtrack Pro 2 has pads similar to Maschine although they are not velocity sensitive. The fact that you are asking these questions suggests you don't have all that much experience, so a standard controller like the Mixtrack would probably suit your immediate needs better for mixing purposes. |
Dirk Bladel 26.05.2013 | But lets say you'r listening to music and then you just hit some buttons sometimes while listening to the music, cant you do that on the midi fighter or the maschine? |
