Reva Poat 29.06.2012 | Bump !! |
Reva Poat 28.06.2012 | I know this will be a very noob question but ı would like to ask something. I have Traktor Pro 2.5 and a Traktor Audio 2 . I generally play soul music which means ı dont use effects or nothing.I just match the beat ( ı have to say sometimes sync button ) and then used the cross fader or volume faders. What ı would like to do is ı want to play in this club which has the setup of 4 channel mixer of American Audio and 2 cdj 1000 mk3's.Do ı have to have a TSP for using them and a audio 4 or 6 ? or how can ı use my traktor pro 2.5 with them . I know very bad and noob question but ı want to ask here because in pioneer dj community s someone says yes and someone says no.Thats why ı dont understand. Thnx very much |
nayit ruiz jaramillo 21.07.2010 | The timecode was revised to fix that delay. The wavs are available to download. |
Tianna Laguerre 21.07.2010 | weren't there big fuss about Pioneer CDJs not working fine with traktor DVS? i heard something like cue play button has half a second response time and whatnot... |

Elma Veltrop 20.07.2010 | Sorry to thread hijack...The X1 is great. I've only used it for a few days so far...Navigation, hot cues, EFFECTS! I've been so inspired by DJTT, and it's community. I'm working on my transitions since I mainly spin Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae, but it's working out fine. Timecode is just as good as CD in my experience with it...actually better, since I don't have to lug around a case of cd's. Now I just bring 6-10 "just in case" MP3 Discs that I have yet to use. I'm really happy with the X1. I've been on CDJ's since 2001, so my setup is working out fine. I just want a smaller mixer to carry around now... |
Sherryl Nonato 20.07.2010 | how is it with the X1? i was believeing of getting scratch pro with my cdj 400s is timecode better an have the same feel as using normal cds? |
Elma Veltrop 20.07.2010 | Zdubs, don't expect any of your mixer buttons to control anything in traktor...if that's what you meant. I recently got an X1, and I love the setup even MORE! navigation, and efx from Traktor KICK ASS! |
Edmund Abbink 20.07.2010 | amazing. now i just got to figure out what all these buttons do haha seriously thanks again! i appreciate all the quick replies! |
Elma Veltrop 20.07.2010 | Amen Drew! I was going to do this, but it was tough without my setup in front of me...You beat me to it! |
Graham Frazier 20.07.2010 | Ok so you have all you need, if you have an audio 4 or an audio 8. Here's how you do it. Hook up the cdj's to the inputs on the audio4/8. Hook up the outputs on the audio4/8 to the inputs on your mixer. Start TSP. Open the settings(buy clicking the big gear in the top right). Click "Audio Setup", Select your audio4/8. Click "Output Routing", Click "External", Select your outs for decks A&B. Click "Input Routing", Select your inputs for A&B. Click "Timecode Setup", on the audio4/8 input mode select, "Timecode CD/LINE" This should take care of everything. And you should be able to start playing. |
Elma Veltrop 20.07.2010 | I have a setup using Traktor Scratch Pro (TSP), 2 CDJ-800's, DJM-600, and a Kontrol X1. I use an AUDIO4 for the ext. sound card. You never mentioned a sound card. Which do you have? I can help if you need... |

Edmund Abbink 20.07.2010 | lol all this pro/scratch differences.... i have traktor scratch pro and just got back from work and will prob spend the rest of the evening
working on it. i'll let you know if i figured it out or if i come to another standstill thanks for the input so far. photodojo - was that directed towards me? *i guess my general question is will i eventually be able to get my cdj800 mk2s and djm400 to work on traktor the same way they would work on serato? I really don't want to have to shell out another 400 for serato |
Leeanna Ayla 20.07.2010 | You can't use timecode CD's with Traktor Pro. You have to have Traktor Scratch for that |

Leeanna Ayla 20.07.2010 | I'm pretty sure the answer to your question is no, not the way you want to use it. |

Edmund Abbink 20.07.2010 | Wait does that mean I can not use Pioneer CDJ800 MK2 (DJM 400 also) with traktor scratch pro? I am having such difficulty trying to set it up. |
Random X 03.03.2009 | Like Moniker said, the Pioneer mixers DJM- 800 and DJM- 1000 have, somewhat strange, MIDI functionality. (No MIDI Learn if I am correct) The CDJ-800 and CDJ-1000 still have no MIDI.The CDJ-400 however does. So for you to use Traktor Pro you'd need the CDJ400s. In case of the CDJ-1000s you already own, you'd need a copy of Traktor Scratch Pro. |
Yuonne Cauthron 03.03.2009 | the 800s and 1000s do no have midi Aiden. You may be believeing of the DJM-800 and DJM-1000 mixer. ----- You can absolutely use the decks with traktor if you're using scratch pro. You can so use traktor's audio input to get audio from a CD to pass through into traktor. This can be neet for doing send/return effect type stuff. It just all depends as to what you're doing or rather, trying to do. |
Lamonica Rockholt 03.03.2009 | why you would wanted to use them with traktor? |
Alex Mayer 02.03.2009 | If i'm not mistaken the 800s and 1000s r set up for midi already. so, yes. At the very least i know they would work with traktor scratch pro. |
Xavier Emanuels 02.03.2009 | Depends exactly how you want to use them, maybe you could be more specific |
Virginia Ortiz 02.03.2009 | i believe scratch only buz |
