Gaynell Rydberg 26.06.2013 | It's definitely not more expensive than the Z2. They're regularly on sale used for ~300-350. It'll maybe match the Z2 price after buying TSP2 and whatnot, but you'll have 4 channels vs 2 channels on the Z2. |

I believe it was stated before in this thread, but it is a Scratch Certified mixer. So all you need is the Tsp license and the Timecode vinyls/cds and you're good to go. It's a great mixer. It can do just about anything and do it well, so if you're able to stumble onto one for cheap it's a great buy. |

Dia Laryea 27.06.2013 | Mfw reading all the posts above me I just have a Macbook pro man, and I don't want a setup too complicated for my own well being. |
Verlene Geevarghese 26.06.2013 | If he has a MacBook, there are FW800 9 conductor to Thunderbolt adapters. Also, just received a reply today from a fellow that has a Zero4 and he said that it works just fine in Mountain Lion. I've only been using mine as a 'House' mixer so I haven't tested this out personally yet. Alot of higher end PC's have/had 4 conductor FW400 inputs, so if he falls into this category a 4 to 6 conductor cable can be found fairly inexpensively. |
Gaynell Rydberg 26.06.2013 | You can't convert USB to firewire, but you can get one of those firewire cards that add in to the slot of your PC. Unless you have a newer (quite thin) laptop, there's a good chance your laptop still has this slot. http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-E.../dp/B000RKUKMG |
Alphonso Deitchman 26.06.2013 | From a few quick searches it seems that USB to Firewire is not possible. How would you add Firewire onto a typical laptop? You'd also need to add the cost of TSP2 on top of any 3rd party mixer. |
Gaynell Rydberg 26.06.2013 | There's a number of Korg Zero 4s all over eBay and GC that are still cheaper than the Z2 though. I'm just trying to point out that the Z2 isn't the ONLY budget option. Firewire isn't that expensive to add on to a computer either. |
Alphonso Deitchman 26.06.2013 | That Zero 4 has been sold already. I'm guessing with a budget of $150 he doesn't have a computer with Firewire too. |
Gaynell Rydberg 26.06.2013 | Again... Korg Zero 4. |

Ashanti Andreacchio 26.06.2013 | ok but why do you need to use Traktor Scratch? any particular reason You Could get the AA 10 MXR + Mixvibes Cross for about 400. I asume you already have turntables |

Ashanti Andreacchio 26.06.2013 | yes it works as a standard mixer, so you can connect a pair of Turntables or CDJ's and mix without a computer or use it with timecode and a computer. But it's not certified so want work with Traktor Scratch or Serato Live. but will work with Mixvibes Cross, VirtualDJ and some other. You can even use it as just a midi mixer with your computer and use the buttons on the mixer to control the decks in any software. To use it with Traktor Scratch you would still need a Native Instruments sound card |

Alphonso Deitchman 26.06.2013 | Looks like it can be used for DVS with turntables, but not with Traktor or Serato as they require specific sound cards. |
Dia Laryea 26.06.2013 | So wait, can the American Audio 10MXR work as an Audio Interface for my two turntables? Could I hook the 2 turntables to the mixer? |

Matt Kane 26.06.2013 | @Danek: In case you didn |

It's scratch certified, cheap, 4 channels, and in stellar condition. He knows his stuff and takes good care of it. He even has an innofader installed if you want that. That's the cheapest scratch certified mixer w/ built in sound card that I can believe of. |

If you want to use your turntables as a DVS setup with Traktor and your Mp3s etc then you need either a Audio 4/6/8/10 or a Traktor Certified Mixer. You can't just use any old cheap soundcard... It doesn't work that way. |

Like Stewe said the BCD3000 fits for what your asking (more a controller then a dedicated mixer though I'd say?) , I've never used one so I'm not sure if it'll work with Traktor Scratch but I'm sure someone here will know. |
Dia Laryea 25.06.2013 | I stumbled across this on Amazon, is this even a mixer? What is this supposed to be? Can I hook up my turntables to it? http://www.amazon.com/Alesis-MultiMi.../dp/B001T9O5VG I don't even believe it has the standard Full Band EQ's |
