Daft Punk - Random Access Memories finally announced. Posted on: 25.03.2013 by Jeremiah Arvanites Anyone else hear the good news?http://music-mix.ew.com/2013/03/24/d...ccess-memorie/ I already ordered my 180 g vinyl. So stoked for May 21st. Disco/Funk is back again. | |
Jetta Drenzek 02.04.2013 | Love it, a remix of the song exists before the song does! Haha EDIT: That was somehow really good. Imagine if the actual song isn't as good as that. |
Nga Mcquarter 02.04.2013 | For those who cannot wait for the album (like me xD), there's this guy on youtube who picked the two preview and did a kinda mashup kinda edit with both, I really dig it! hope you'll enjoy it! |
Jerica Salava 01.04.2013 | for those that love music: |
Janella Gripe 31.03.2013 | I don't know if someone already said it, but the download link is not inside the album. Check the FAQ on the RAM-site. It is send to you by mail |

Inherently when ever the question comes up to rockheads they don't say I listen to rock. They says I'm a blues guy, or a metal guy, or a punk kid. These genres have successfully defined themselves and differentiated themselves, and each are proud to call themselves their genre without an overlying term for it and most people understand and accept that. Its up to us within our respective genres to define, differentiate, and educate what each genre is to those unknowing instead of pushing an overlying term that doesn't really define anything. As each genre gets pushed, changed, and popular its up to people in the scene to teach those who are just starting to learn. Nothing is wrong with "EDM" however the continued use of it when you know better pushing something that doesn't define you at all. |

Jerica Salava 28.03.2013 | I use EDM as a catch-all. You don't want to appear pompous. The fans understand the word and use it. They pay the bills. Don't be a snob. Really interested to what Nile Rodgers does with Daft. He is one funky ass talented mother fucker. Did you know he produced this for Will Ferrell. It's a joke but the funk is there, Tight! : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s28XVOlYsw > |

DnB is not the same as house, or disco, or techno or whatever in the least. Its a sign of disrespect as prior these genres were separated with their niche groups and core following. EDM is a term used by media to designate something they don't understand at all and are too lazy to learn about the origins or differences between other styles of music. |

I don't see EDM as something bad, it's just the modern term to refer to electronic dance music: house, trance, electro, dubstep, dnb, etc etc etc. If we say Daft Punk is the best EDM act out there or this song from Daft Punk is the best EDM song, we don't refer to mainstream music, I personally refered to the WHOLE electronic music. maybe i'm wrong, but you guys complain too much! let's enjoy this album!! |
Alphonso Deitchman 27.03.2013 | I completely agree that Pioneer gear is overpriced. It's priced for the clubs to purchase, rather than the consumer. I never have and never will pay the full MSRP for high end Pio gear. That doesn't mean they make bad products though. Reloop of course get to save all the R+D costs since they're just copying someone else's designs. Edit: as to the features argument, nothing comes close to the Nexus CDJs, and the DJM900's integration with Traktor is awesome. |

Alphonso Deitchman 27.03.2013 | I'm not loyal to any specific brands, I just pick gear that's best for the situation and has decent build quality to match. You yourself use a DJM600 clone so you're hardly in a position to criticise Pioneer. |
Doreen Schurle 27.03.2013 | There's the effect of that typical Pioneer brainwashing for you |
