Midi controller alternative to the UC33
Midi controller alternative to the UC33 Posted on: 03.07.2013 by Clarinda Schwimer Hi guys.I have been looking around to get the Evolution UC33 but its obviously hard to get hold of. Could anyone recommend a good alternative? Something like the UC33.....a simple midi controller with faders and knobs laid in a channel format. Let me know. | |

Jetta Drenzek 03.07.2013 | Even better, means you can demo the product! I demo'd a DDJ-T1 and as I was about to plunge my cash on it, had a seizure and bought an S4. Just a word of warning in case it could happen to you also. |
Clarinda Schwimer 03.07.2013 | Same! Had no idea! But yeah I saw a shop near me is selling it so i'll go check it out soon. Thanks for your help guys! |
Jetta Drenzek 03.07.2013 | I had a proper chub on for the behringer CMD when it was first announced a year and a half ago, bought an S4 since then because I gave up waiting. MM-1 does look good though and even better it has that 4 port USB hub on the back. There's not many in circulation at the moment though so it's hard to tell just how good it is, but for the price you can't go wrong. I didn't even believe to suggest it because I didn't realise Behringer had genuinely released them. |
Clarinda Schwimer 03.07.2013 | Only problem now is....i've seen the UC33 on ebay.......do I bid for that or get the behringer CMD MM1? I believe the fact that it has a crossfader does it for me, and because its laid out like a dj mixer so naturally i'll warm to it straight away.... |

Kellie Myrum 03.07.2013 | CMD MM-1 is your weapon of choice. |
Clarinda Schwimer 03.07.2013 | Basically I want something I could use when I do gigs that dont have a club mixer and I need an alternative |
Clarinda Schwimer 03.07.2013 | Yeah true. I literally just want something to control basic functions for the decks in traktor Levels Eq Filter Cue Nothin fancy just something simple. But its hard to find a controller at a decent price with a layout that lets say has a fader with 3 knobs above it and 1 or 2 buttons below it. They all seemed to be designed differently..... |
Jetta Drenzek 03.07.2013 | Well you can map the faders to knobs, a lot of people are into that. What exactly is it that has eight faders that you want to control? If you're that hung up on faders just get a nanoKontrol, dirt cheap, ultra portable. |
Clarinda Schwimer 03.07.2013 | Hey Sambo cheers.... Bcf would be great it had more than one knob per channel....BCR is just knobs lol. Weird how hard it is to find what im looking for, for a decent price |
Jetta Drenzek 03.07.2013 | BCR2000 and BCF2000, easy to source, cheap, reliable, combined are essentially the uc33 on steroids. Daft punk used BCR2000's on their 2007 tour, if you need another reason to buy one. |
Clarinda Schwimer 03.07.2013 | Thanks guys. I'm kinda lookin for something on budget.....which is why the UC33 would be ideal.....all the ones you mentioned above would be too much. And yeah Livid's stuff are great |
Kellie Myrum 03.07.2013 | If you have budget I highly recommend Livid CNTRL:R. |
