You don't see any track names on the CDJ screen do you? Or waveforms, current BPM, current track position?
If you used different software like Serato or Cross (both support HID on the 850) you would get all this information on your CDJ screens.
BPM on CDJ via USB. yes. well.. the topic in here I was talking about was BPM and Timecode bend which works well back in 2.1.3 versions.
but not anymore so people call it bug. but now limtation. and looks like NI gave up fixing it.

hmm strange.
even it says it has bug with cdj2000.

"Sliding a timecode CD into a state-of-the-art CDJ-2000 will mean a number of limitations on functionality a CDJ offers. A big issue here is that any ‘smart’ functions of the CD deck when it comes to looking at the audio file, such as BPM detection, auto looping, and so on, won’t work"

and actually I can do browse songs on 850, hotques on 850 almost every feature via USB. just need to map those buttons in preferences.

Connecting via USB is not a "solution" to timecode problems, it is just an alternative method of control. If you're talking about using 850s in Traktor that involves basic MIDI which some people find worse than timecode. HID on the other hand works much better.
No, just in formal basic way to use CD timecode with CDJ(at least my 850 and other on NI community and here) won't display BPM correctly and Tempobend isn't instantly updated (about 3 seconds lag). I don't know about other CDJs. it isn't that every CDJs working flawlessly.

and I don't know about your meaning of HID, but I thought using USB cable is HID.

EDIT: anyways, I like how it works with via USB, everythings are instant response even faster than Timecodes also I can modify all those buttons on 850 customized. also please try timecode CD on TSP2.6 if you haven't tried from later version of 2.1.3 which the bug started from.

NI couldnt fix it.
check the link below.

Pioneer's solution was connect USB straight to the laptop without Timecode CD.

Best decision ever

Traktor receives the timecode just fine, and it works as well as my controllers.
I see, sounds like all the Pioneer CDJ have problem with timecode.

I don't remember but I believe there were many complains on NI community but NI could not fix it until now.
and then I found the solution on Pioneer DJ support(smarter than the original manufacture?!)

if you are using Pioneer CDJ or other USB compatible CD players, you can just hook up with USB directly to the laptop (need driver installation and import CDJ midi setting), in this method, you don't need to CD timecodes.

i have 2.6.3, using Reloop RMP-3a cd players (so not expensive pioneers)
BPM does not, nor is it able to be displayed on your cd player via timecode.
Yes there is a slight delay of BPM being displayed on Traktor, which is expectedd, but that is not a deal breaker, since you should have a general idea of your song's tempo.

Long story short, my initial question worked So Thread Closed.

1) i have Reloop RMP-3a's
2) Traktor Timecode Cd mk2 are the timoecode CDs i have, and they aren't that bad

i don't like using my cd players in midi mode, and i don't like pioneer players. If anything i will probably sell off my Cd players soon and keep two X1's
