How to do precise piitch fadding with Traktor Scratch Pro 2.6?
Posted on: 13.09.2013 by Vikki Falkenrath
I want to test some editing I did on tracks but don't wanna keep burning CDs to play on my CDJ-200s, But when I use Traktor 2.6 on my notebook I can't use pitch faders with the precision of the CDJs (0,02%), I can just adjust to a maximum precision of 0,1%, which is ridiculous for old school mixing. Is it possible to raise the pitch fader precision on Traktor? So I can simulate things I would do on CDJs.

(please don't mention Sync, that is not the point)

(If it's not possible, should I try Serato?)

Btw I would to see your equation to calculate the crowds vibe and taste in music.

Hehe this thread is a classic.

But if you feel that mixing comes from the heart and not some excel spreadsheet say "I".

It's just something you feel, not something you calculate.

Do you believe that when Fatboy Slim played to 250,000 people on Brighton beach back in the day he was calculating some kind of special beatmatching formula..... I'm gonna say no....

Your trying to create gold with water man, instead of putting in the the long hard hours looking for it.

After that last comment from the OP, mods I believe you know what needs to be done here.

If your playing on cdj's for gigs go and burn some then. All this time spent here you could've burnt loads of tracks on to disks.

Thanks man, I will download it

But training with a CDJ-200 is a pain in the ass.

Traktor is more precise than cdj 2000s as well. There isn't much of a difference when mixing except its harder to stay beat matched on CDJs opposed to having an all in one program.

The precision of a CDJ-200 is the same of CDJ-2000, the fisical controllers are better but the math is the same, both have a maximum precision of 0,02% and I want to train like I was playing on a CDJ, because I do on gigs. But my CDJ-200 uses CDs, which are a pain in the ass to burn, so It would be much better to train on a software.

I don't mix DnB.

I was standing up for a fellow DJ.

I spin House and techno.

I'm a beginner.

I have problems beatmatching.

I use sync.

I view DJing as an art, not a competition.

I am part of this community, and more so than you will ever be if you continue as you are.

I am a DJ.

Asking for mainstream EDM with lot's of beatmatching will get you hated even more so than you already are. You want real beatmatching and all that? Try some irregular rhythm patterns, or weird time signatures. THAT is some true skill beatmatching.
You basically confirmed that you're a top 40 DJ trying to emulate a machine. Which is stupid. We're here for the music, along with some mad skills. All you have is tastelessness and a pedantic obsession with utter perfection.

You do realise that even machine made music drifts. Not enough to hear, not by a long shot, but you with your 0,000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000001% precision hearing should be able to pick it up.
