Reply to korg zero 8 ,abelton live setup.

I have recently acquired a zero 8 mixer but I can't seem to get it set up properly . I get sound running from my mac and out channel 1 in the mixer. Of course I want each track in abelton to come through a separate channel so I can mix.
I also would like to take a couple of the channels for live sax and congas and be able to run effects on them.
I am still running live 5 could this be a factor?
