Reply to beta list

i believe im doing something wrong to get on the beta list.when i click on the file i've tried opening it,my windows live mail asks for password to open it,then i get an error 'only partially copied'.its a live contact file.i've also saved it in my documents and tried importing into my contacts but am getting the same message?.i've searched all over but it seems i'm the only 1 who's ever had this problem.
