Launchpad MIDI Sync issue.
Launchpad MIDI Sync issue. Posted on: 26.10.2010 by Stephnie Bjorndal hi all. ive run into a catch 22 sort of issue. it has to do with the User 1 mode.In the MIDI sync preferences of Ableton, it would appear that when Remote is turned on, im able to use the User 1 view pads as normal for mapping effects and such. however, turning remote on presents this specific issue for me: i use 4 pads in the D bank of my MPD to control track activation. the resulting notes used in the MPD correspond to notes of the LP. more specifically - i have a track whose activation is toggled by hitting a pad in D bank, the note for which is labeled "E5" in the MIDI mapping browser. when i hit the 6th Scene launcher on the LP in session view, it too will toggle that track's activation because its note is also "E5". i can fix that entirely by turning remote off in preferences, but then im unable to make use of User 1 mode as i should. anyone know a viable workaround for this, or is there something super simple that im missing? any help is much appreciated. | |

| Stephnie Bjorndal 27.10.2010 | The issue is in no way that my LP freezes. In fact it works just as it should. The conflict lies in the manor in which I wish to use it. Hope I'm not confising you. |
| Christia Shiraki 27.10.2010 | All i know is , playing live , if your launchpad happens to freeze up ... take it off the controls in midi set up and then select it again , it should work... the music should still be playing while you do this luckily |
