Ableton Master Tempo Adjust
Ableton Master Tempo Adjust Posted on: 15.11.2010 by Hyon Olnick Hello all. I realize that this is mainly a Traktor community
, but I can't seem to get anyone to even reply to my question on any other community
s, so I thought I would try here, as it seems this community is always willing to lend a helping hand.I'm trying to figure out how to do something on my Launchpad using MidiKatapult, and so far no luck. I posted this question on the community s there, but not even on reply after several days. I have been racking my brains trying to figure out how to do this, so any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. All I'm trying to do is set up 2 buttons on my Launchpad. I want one to decrease the master tempo in Ableton in 1 BPM increments, and another to increase the master tempo in 1 BPM increments. I've tried everything I can believe of, and I can't make it work. I'm hoping someone here has the expertise to help me with this. Thanks in advance for any help that can be given. Michael | |

Hyon Olnick 20.11.2010 | I'm using Live 8.2. I agree it should be easy to accomplish, but it's proving to be anything but. |
Bridget Haliburton 19.11.2010 | What version of live are you using? You shouldn't have to use any external software besides the midi cabling software. This should be quite simple in katapult. |
Brunilda Kora 16.11.2010 | You'll be able to do this with Bomes (maybe even with midi Katapult). There are key shortcuts in Live to increase/decrease the tempo by 1bpm. (I THINK it's CTRL+UP ARROW/CTRL+DOWN ARROW). Just set up a translator for your midi pad to be converted to the keystrokes. (Other key short cuts for increase/decrease master tempo by 0.1bpm - CTRL+SHIFT+UP ARROW/CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN ARROW). |
Hyon Olnick 15.11.2010 | Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I don't have Max For Live. I'm looking to do this using MidiKatapult. I appreciate the input though. |
Graham Frazier 15.11.2010 | If you have max for live, you can use this patch i made.... http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=323 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzGEilPExkk |
