Question about CDJ mode in Traktor
Posted on: 08.12.2010 by Keiko Barabash
Hi guyz, i'm a novice sp plz bear with this short question : I'm using a numark stealth controller in my bedroom setup, but when I use the Jog to find the downbeat it scratches through the track. Anyway, I don't scratch at all and don't need that feature at all, I only beatmatch, so the question is there any settings in Traktor (i'm using traktor pro v1.2.4 ) to use a cdj cueing style so when I press cue it will pause and beatstutter (like the old pioneers 100s) ?

Heard of such a "CD Mode" in traktor, even found it written in the manual, but didn't find any settings in traktor.

Thanks

I suppose it depends how you have mapped your controller.

It replicates the way the cue/play/pause worked on old pioneeer CDJs like the CDJ100 and the CDJ500.

I ticked the CD Mode box near the headphones volume but it didn't change anuthing, just the scratching effect is gone. By the way, sorry for being unclear, I meant that on the old pioneers 100s (and maybe other cdjs, i dunno) when you press 'CUE' the track gets paused in a beatstuttering loop ,so then you use the jogwheel to find the beginning of that beat

don't you just click the little 'cd' button on the top right area above the headphone volume?
