Can I use Behringer ddm4000 with Kontrol X1?

Hi guys. basically I am crap with setting up hardware etc, do here we go.

I've just purchased a Behringer DDM4000 to control traktor pro. However, I want to control the looping/syncing/library search and deck loading (aswell as effects) functions from the X1. Is there anyway I can run them side by side so the DDM only controls the mixing functions?

A TSI file set up would also help if anyone has one?

Many thanks, Graeme Wicks

okay, its all up and running, can't beleive how easy it was, just didnt have the hardware here so was nervous haha,

Aaannyways, ive developed a new problem

at first, before i bought a midi cable, i had the mixer mixing the tracks just through the sound card. everything worked fine. But now, as its set up as a controller, it seems to have knocked the soundcard all over the place.

I'm using a maya 44 USB soundcard. The outputs are 4321. I have 2 RCA's leading from 3,4. and 2,1. these RCA's run into Channel A & Channel B on my mixer. This is how i had it set up before midi and it worked.

However, now I cannot do this, the preferences on output routing only allow me to chose maya 44, output 2 and ouput 3 even though there are 4? confusing for me who is a complete noob at technology.

I've thrown a vid together to explain, hopefully someone can help me? cheers

RIght, now. haha! sorry for this thread cant beleive how easy it was to set up, but i hadnt bought the X1 so just wanted to make sure it worked.

So now the only problem is, traktor not playing any sound.

I have a maya 44 USB sound card, (4 inputs, 4 outputs) I don't know how to wire it up.

I've tried outputs 1,2 to channel A and 3,4 to B then an RCA from main output to my speakers. but this doesnt work. Also traktor wont pick up outputs 1,2 it only allows me to select 2 & 3. any help would be amazing.

Sorry again guys,

Plug the DDM4K in, go through the setup wizard and choose DDM4K and it'll set it up for you. Afterwards, plug in your X1 and you're sorted.

when you say 4 by 4, you mean 2 or 4 rca outputs?
If you have 4 ( or even 2) outputs, just mix externally into the ddm an use the x1 to control pretty much everything else...

Haha yes I do, it's a 4 by 4 soundcard

Sorry man I'm just not gifted on the mapping/ understanding midi gig.

So I understand the x1 is made for the controlling of Traktor. So. If I plug the x1 in I know it'll be already mapped out, but I don't wanna just use the mixer as a one channel mixer and use the mouse to fade in/out etc. So what do I do ? Sorry guys lol I'm useless

Dude- you don't have to do anything. That is exactly what the x1 does out of the box. Plug it in and go.

Pretty easy to map an X1 to do exactly what you want.

X1 is "made" to be used along with a mixer. map whatever you want to the ddm or use it as an analogue mixer

just use the x1 in midi mode
