MIDI Fighter Instant Gratifcation mapping
MIDI Fighter Instant Gratifcation mapping Posted on: 07.02.2011 by Donovan Mandy I'm trying to copy one feature of the new midi fighter mapping onto my Akai MPK Mini - it's the super combo one in the video. I've got the beatmasher bit already, I just want the transpose function - I currently have my button mapped to do the following:- Select effect Transpose Stretch - Button>Direct - set value to 1.000 - Button>Dec - coarse, auto repeat - Turn effect on - hold However, there seems to be a delay between pressing the button and it starting to wind down the sound (decreasing the effect parameter). I'm guessing this is because I'm telling it to set the value to 1.000 and also telling it to decrease, but there doesn't seem to be the same delay in the video. Any ideas? | |

Jacki Agrillo 10.02.2011 | i believe (not tested) that when you use the same button for set a value, AND use the same button for decreasing with auto repeat (the value you're set) it takes a moment until TPro checks that. try it in combination with Inverse |
Marguerite Truka 09.02.2011 | Tested the auto repeat with korg nanopad herculles rmx and akai mpd 24 and the controller doesnt seem to make a differnce. I would have a look at your settings you want it as decrease and coarse |

Marguerite Truka 08.02.2011 | my book has a working solution for this mapping its called MIDI Mapping for Bums Download it here |
Coreen Pankow 07.02.2011 | any chance youd wanna upload what you got already so i could take a go at playing with it/trying to figure it out first hand rather than guessing what the problem might be? |
Donovan Mandy 08.02.2011 | Nope, still a delay of 1 beat before it actually starts decreasing. This is odd. |
Dorcas Bassignani 07.02.2011 | it's the effect select function... you'll have to remove that and have it selected before launching |
Donovan Mandy 07.02.2011 | No, there's still a delay there. It seems to be a delay of one beat... |
Dorcas Bassignani 07.02.2011 | what's the default starting point on the transpose? is it all way up or down? if all way up as default then maybe try replacing the 1.000 direct for amout to 'reset' and invert on. will reset the effect after you release the button and shouldn't have the same delay. |
