Advice Please On Kontrol X1 Options
Advice Please On Kontrol X1 Options Posted on: 08.02.2011 by Lin Danek :eek:NOOB ALERT:eek: I have my X1 mapped as a basic mixer (take a bow Jes). Are there options to - 1. NOT have the cue (internal mixer 'listening' option) automatically activated on track load? 2. NOT leave the displayed decks and activate a full-screen browser when using the browser knob? Thanks. | |

I've searched on the community for threads on this but I've drawn a blank on the correct process. NI's manual and community too are not very helpful. Simple stuff like, should the KX1 be connected first, then import the TSI, etc might be where I'm f...ing up here. Any advice gratefully recieved Cheers, Drex |

Latoria Kavulich 11.02.2011 | I'll have a look at that later for yaz mate Edit: seems that the .tsi viewer doesn't work with traktor 1.2+ |
Jonnie Soldati 11.02.2011 | Hi, Great to get it from the man so to speak. I'll download it and give it a crack and let you know how it goes. I'm running 1.2.7. Do you have a JPG / PDF of what the assignments are? if you do I'd be grateful for that. I have an earlier one for your 1.02 map, but I'm not sure what's changed from that version to this current version. Good to be in touch, Cheers, Drex |
Latoria Kavulich 11.02.2011 | @ drex what version of traktor are you running? here is the latest version to reflect the 1.2.7 update. obviously you need to delete the stock mapping and import this one to avoid conflicts. |
Tatum Ansaldo 10.02.2011 | you'll have to talk to jester about it I guess. Whether or not the X1 is connected, it makes not difference. |

Jonnie Soldati 10.02.2011 | Hi Fullenglishpint, Thanks for your advice, however I tried that, and it didn't work. I must have a corrupted version of Jesters mapping, because even after loading it as you suggested, the assignments for the functions in Jesters mapping seem conflicted. i.e. not doing what they should. And that's with no other KX1 mapping active or in the control manager. I have reduced everything to just the keyboard mapping and whatever TSI I import for the KX1. It doesn't seem to be working for any other TSI's either. I'm not sure if when the KX1 is connected it overwrites whatever mapping is in the Control Manager...it seems to be doing this. my sequence so far has involved installing the mapping both when the KX1 is connected and when it's not, and then connecting it. It's got me stumped . and NI are less than explicit in the Traktor reference manual about whether the KX1 should be connected or not when a mapping is written into it. There must be a way to get this working, I mean, Jester's got it working... Thanks for your help, Drex |
Tatum Ansaldo 10.02.2011 | first, backup your settings with the big export button at the bottom of the preferences window. import the tsi with the BIG IMPORT BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PREFERENCES WINDOW then restart Traktor and reimport by the same method. That should sort it! |

Lin Danek 08.02.2011 | Thanks again - getting there - feel like I've conquered Mont Blanc! |
nayit ruiz jaramillo 08.02.2011 | Sounds like a Macro on the Load button that also has the Cue command. Just find the assignement in the window for LOAD and delete the CUE command. Find LOAD, click on it. Then click 'Mapped To' and it will align with all other commands on that button. Delete Cue. |
Lin Danek 08.02.2011 | Thank you gentlemen. This is NOT as easy as I thought - not that I'm looking for short cuts. Thank goodness I didn't give up my day job! |

Either way, It's not standard behaviour, so you can just remove them. The easiest way: Add a new (fake) function, which you can delete easily (as it is automatically added as the last rule), press the learn button and press the button/knob which triggers your mentioned functions. This way, Traktor will highlight all the functions that are triggered with that button/knob. From there it's just looking for the function that corresponds to it and delete it and then delete the last added fake function. |
