Traktor fully mapped to Trigger Finger, no response Posted on: 18.02.2011 by Nelly Pulitano Hey there everyone!Im looking to setup my trigger finger for traktor for fun until I'v got ableton figured out. I'v mapped every button and knob and fader to my own layout, but when I close the general settings window many of the buttons do not function. All signals are received by traktor via the blue midi light no problem, but it just doesnt activate anything. Can someone please offer some help if they might know a solution? Thanks for your time! | |

Nelly Pulitano 20.02.2011 | Sure, sorry about the delay. Im not completely sure if what I was doing was what helped, I'm so very new to my trigger finger and just getting my head around preset banks and stuff. So I just opened enigma, found the trigger finger default map and loaded it onto the trigger finger. Once I did that I hit either memory recall or bank change (which ever one gets you to bank 16, the other only goes to 15) and hit to 16, since on the list of maps, 16 was the only one empty. I figured the framework would be congruent after that because I have no clue about where I was on the scale of banks and layouts on whatever was already on the trigger finger that I had been messing with. The refresh worked like a charm, everything just started to work regardless of the velocity lock button. I'v added the mapping I made, it ultra basic and its meant as a stand alone controller, so it has play, sync, fxs on and assigned knobs and faders. If it works for you then cool, by all means. I am by no stretch of the imagination a seasoned traktor user nor do I know or understand the typical workflow of a traktor dj so this was all just for me, included because it was asked. And the very top right knob is not assigned to anything, I was trying something that didnt work, and it would probably be better to make all 3 fx1 parameters the top 3 knobs instead of just the two, but you can do that if you like im still fooling around with it. Suzanna Paddock 19.02.2011 | ...and share your mapping? |
Morton Helmick 18.02.2011 | Wait can you explain how you figured your problem out? I'm having the exact same problem. |
Nelly Pulitano 18.02.2011 | I found my solution! so many hours later! Thanks anyways guys, I dont know how to delete my own topic. |
Nelly Pulitano 18.02.2011 | Okay, i believe it has something to do with the velocity buttons, I can get the buttons to work if I duplicate the original velocity, but I've tried every combination of my velocity lock button to no avail. |
