Need help for a live midi controlled setup.

So I am a noob in the Midi industry, but all I want to do is have the ability to perform LIVE!

So if that means I have to mix songs, create loops, sample on the fly...so be it !

I have picked up 2 midi controllers:

1. Korg NanoKontrol
2. Akai LPD8

Now I am using Ableton live, and would like to have a mapping setup where both of these are used to their full potential (with all 8 presets used in a good way).

I plan on syncing ableton with traktor (when I get kinda good at Ableton alone).

I know its not hard to map...but just the fact that I have to learn how to do it makes me frustrated lol.

I wanna be able to throw a bassline down, add some keys to it, throw in some synth, add fx, create a break moment, drop into another beat and SOOOO on!

Basically like a live dubstep/electro/trip-hop dj.

So to sum all of this up, I have been using different mappings and tried different things...but I have a feeling I am wasting my time with other peoples mappings and I should just map them my own way.

I have read many manuals on how to do it (ive messed with the User scripts and what not)...but I solely dont seem to be grasping the concept.

Why so many channels? Why so many ccs? wtf is all this?!?! lol.

(ps: what is the cc button for anyways (on the lpd8) ).

Anyone that can help me map some stuff will get mega kudos from me !

Thanks for your time all
