Create a shift button?
Posted on: 16.03.2011 by Jeffie Morla
Hey guys. I'm looking to make pad 3 on my Akai LPD8 a shift button. I was searching around (maybe not good enough?) for a how-to on this and I couldn't seem to find one. I was playing around with the commands on my own, too and couldn't seem to figure it out.

I've got Pad's 1 & 2 and 5 & 6 mapped to the first 4 hotcues on Pad mode and then mapped to the last 4 hotcues in CC mode.

I want the Shift button to be used for deleting hotcues on the fly (same style as the VCI-100SE) mapping. Hold Shift + press corresponding pad to delete.

I've read that some need "modifiers" and I don't understand much of that. I've read that you don't need modifiers.

Do I have to go back and add a second command to each of my hotcue pads? I believe the command I used for it was Select / Set + Store hotcue.

Anyone with some knowledge or a list of commands if you know what I'm talking about or have done it on your gear?
