Record button messes up song key
Posted on: 24.03.2011 by Carmelia Rosana
I got a question here, i hope its not been asked before, but i didnt find anything on this elsewhere on the community :
Sometimes when i hit the record button on my MF (Deckalized Mapping 1.1 on Traktor Pro), it will change the pitch of the tune, making it sound lower and slower. (alltough its the same speed).... allthough i got keysync on.
any idea how i can avoid that?
cheers
sam

ok, it looks like it only does the pitchshifting when i hit record while the masterclock is trying to find the proper bpm, which unfortunately happens everytime i trigger a cue... it always jumps down a couple of bmps and then works its way to the real tempo and that then messes up the loop pitch

ok, when i have the mf plugged in it says midifighter correctly in the controllers input/outputs.....
i also noticed, sometimes the pitch goes up and sometimes down - and sometimes when the recorded loop kicks in, sometimes when i go into reslice mode and sometimes as soon as i hit the record button....
i made a vid, but its somehow out of sync (so going into reslice mode on sec18 is when the pitch goes higher in sec 20......)

i should have mentioned: i didnt have it plugged in then (not @home), so i guess it said midifighter correctly, but i can only check that later today........

it's shouldn't say n/a (if it's plugged in). That would mean you needed to reselect the (non n/a) midifighter in the in/outs.

no, midifighter only. and in in and outport it says n/a-midifighter...

do you have any other midi controllers? Are the in/out options set to 'midifighter' not 'all ports'?
