does anyone hav any suggestions on how i should map my djm800 to traktor?
effects are important! both software and onboard
if possible including the loop recorder in traktor pro 2

Yeh that should probably work. I assume you already have a soundcard with a midi in port or something, like an audio 8.

i ususally use 2 channels, 3 max. so i was believeing of using the fourth for triggering and controlling effects. if i move the volume fader up i turn on the effects unit for channel 1 if i move it down i turn it on for the second channel. then i can use the trim for dry/wet and control each effect with the hi mid n lo knobs. sounds good?

yeh but for example if you only use 2 channels, that's a lot of spare controls you could map to something useful!

Why midi? Its a great analog mixer with more features then its midi side.

No idea! I've just got mine but I'm not really planning on midi mapping it, I guess it really depends which controls you use and which you have spare. I don't know your DJing style!
