4 Deck Map for Mixtrack/Pro
Posted on: 18.09.2011 by Porter Jacquet
My latest map can be found......here.

Most notable changes:
  • Menu hot switching
  • Decks C & D can be Sample or Track Decks
  • a few layout changes
  • Scratch that works!

Check it out if you're still rockin' a Numark Mixtrack/Pro.

Awesome.

I figured if the Sample Deck controls weren't such a mess, they'd be a lot more fun to play with. More control = more fun!

Works great for me. Bugs have been ironed out. Love the feature to change loop size in deck a or b and click down on loop knob to drop it into a chosen sample bank. Very cool. Works hand in hand with my launchpad too. YES YES

Good work mate. I'll put it through it's paces later and will report back.

I've updated this map to 2.1.X along with fixing a few mapping errors from the first one.

Check the OP for the link.

Next on the chopping block to get fixed and updated is this one.

Enjoy.

Sure. Let me see what I can do when I get home this evening. I'm also working on another update for 2.1.1

Awesome mapping, thanks for the update! I've been using one of your old mappings for 1.2.7 with a few mods of my own.

Any chance you could add another modification, similar to the way you describe Track Gain in pages 9 and 11 of your pdf? It would be awesome to have the filter added to either the low or mid EQ knob, so that when you press shift either of those knobs turns into the filter knob

Edit: I see you added it to the FX section as the pitch bend fader, but I would prefer it to be a knob, might have a play with your mappings

Included in the download is a .pdf file that covers everything on the map. Page 16 covers the FX unit mappings and a few effects preference settings on page 3.

I'm actually having a difficult time recreating this glitch. It happened once by accident, but I can't get it to happen again. What exactly are you doing to get this glitch to happen?

There are a sh!t-ton of modifiers that depend on other modifiers to get everything working in this map. If I over looked one, that may be causing the glitch. Now that I have a 4 day weekend, I'll go back and look at all of them to make sure they are set correctly.

Edit: I may have just discovered how you're getting the glitch. Are you trying to switch the Deck to Sample before selecting the Deck? For example, when Traktor starts, both of the Keylock LEDs are on, indicating that Decks A and B are currently selected. If you press the [Shift] button and try and switch Deck C or D to Sample before pressing the Scratch button, it gets stuck in modifier limbo. Make sure you switch to Deck C or D first, then change it from Track to Sample.

Now to figure out why this is happening.

Hi Brian, how's the deck switch glitch coming along? Or is it just me that has that issue?
