Posted on: 14.10.2011 by Sanford Hartery
hey guys ive been playing Around with my NEW akai lpd 8 and ive come to the decision where i want to makke the akai take over the whole fx thing, ive made my mappings and all that but here comes the problem

,when i have both controllerrs connected, the akai works and the reloop mapping seems to fall apart and stop working

for example; the play buttons turn into track loaders and headphone cues dont work

please help me!!!!

thanks.

midi channels shouldn't even be a factor if you have it setup like u say, with only the specific midi in and out ports to each tsi and no other tsi/mapping using them or all-ports etc. each device/port can use all 16 midi channels however it likes.

can u post a screenshot of your controller manager screen or something? no clue off hand what is screwing it up.

when the reloop is in ( alone ) the manager says

Generic midi IN;ALL PORTS OUT;ALL PORTS
-it all works

when the lpd is in it says

Generic.... IN;LPD8 OUT;LPD8
-all works

as soon as i put them together, it all goes kaput

You could also make sure the mappings in Traktor's preferences are exclusive to the controllers.

At the controller manager, make sure the "In-Port" and "Out-Port" for each mapping are set properly to their respective controller.

MIDI OX will tell you the midi channel, note, and CC. bomes wll allow you to remap those channels.

Make sure they are using different midi channels.
