Harmonic CueJump Mapping (for m-audio Oxygen 8)
Harmonic CueJump Mapping (for m-audio Oxygen 8) Posted on: 07.11.2011 by Dora Laffer If the title doesn't explain the idear well enough it is to make the notes to trigger cuejump1 and a each a different value on the key knob. I'm having a bit of trouble though. 1. An easy solveble problem is how much i have to change the key to go one note up. Hopefully someone knows. ( I know this is different from song to song but just in general) 2. A problem that have giving me headaches the last week or two: When I press and hold a note I want it to cueplay from hotcue1 with a specific value on the key knob. What the problem is, is I want it to change key when I press a second note but not stop the track or jump back to hotcue1. I've tried different modifiers but it's quite complicated because the first touch of any note have to be hotcue1 but any second note hit has to only change the key. I also tried with the play/pause modifier but could't get it to work. Any ideas? | |

Charline Dye 08.11.2011 | link to video fixed. This might be what you are looking for. |
Dora Laffer 08.11.2011 | Damn it. Thought I did search this. As for your last remark my idea was that you could jump from high to a low note without going through the once between. So you could play it like a piano and not just like a pitch-bend. I saw a video with a guy changing key with a knob and jumping cue's with some buttons, thats not quite what I'm after. And also, I can't get the video working? |
Charline Dye 07.11.2011 | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgCRVScNx-Y The values you need are in the video description. This is also in the mapping tips tricks sticky at the top of this community , and I posted a thread about it in this community . SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND! Also, another community member took it further. I can't remember the thread name, and I'm too lazy to search for it for you For problem number 2, just go to the hot cue or spot where you want to start. Hit play, and use your keys/buttons to change the key while it plays. Unless there is something I'm not understanding about what you want to achieve. |
