Novation released their "Live Twitch Translator" which lets you do some fancy stuff with those fancy Twitches. This looks pretty sweet.

the only version of live that i have is 5 - except for the cut down version that came with my launchpads. the price for the full live8 is scary - never mind if i wanted msp too i need to spend some time trying to learn my 5 or 8le more sometime tho... |

the twitch does look awesome and i'd love to get one sometime, unless something better/different comes along.
what i still don't get tho is quite what the translater app does? i guess it sits between the twitch and ableton like bomes or my midimasher does but what makes the midi that the twitch sends natively not compatible with mapping in ableton already? it must do something ofc and the midi-geek in me would like to find out what
ah - i might have just worked out what. the doc says it's written in "Cycling 74 Max/MSP software" so that then should give the app access to way more than normal ableton over midi? |
