Akai APC40 Mapping (yes, another one) - "Sticky Buttons" on Smart Mode Posted on: 03.08.2012 by Chrissy Kynard Hello DJTT and welcome, once again, to the inevitable "I need help mapping the APC40 thread". Terribly sorry to add to the pile, but I've been searching through the Forums and Internets for the past week for hours on end and I can still not solve this issue, regardless of the number of threads I've searched through. My issue regards the "sticky buttons" that are the hallmark of using Smart Mode in Traktor. I've tried every type of monitor state (IN and OUT) combination with the buttons and I still cannot get my hotcues mapped properly. The goal is to be able to press the hotcue button, setting the hotcue and lighting and LED up, indicating a hotcue is set. After that, each press of that hotcue brings me to that hotcue during play and holding that button, without playback, causes the track to play until the button is released. The issue I am having is that the buttons I am mapping to (the ACTIVATOR and SOLO/CUE buttons) set the hotcue and light up when first pressed; when trying to press again to jump to the cue, the light is turned off and no action is performed. Press it again when it's not lit and action and light both occur. I've tried different SEND MONITOR STATE parameters, both IN and OUT; this only results in the light being on continuously with no action when pressed or continuously off with no action when pressed. If anybody would be willing to provide some well needed advice or theories, I would be extremely grateful. P.S. If anybody could also provide a solution such that, when I start up Traktor with my APC40, my lights and EQs aren't automatically at -infinity, but rather in the normal position as the software shows (I assume it's a SEND MONITOR STATE sort of deal but still haven't found a solution after tinkering), that would be amazingly excellent. Just thought I might as well get rid of all my issues in one swoop. Thank you very much!! | |

Noelia Martig 03.08.2012 | If you just plug in the apc40 and run it straight from Traktor. Make sure the button is light up on the master. This is Bank 1 that your mapping is being set to. You will need to create those send monitor states in this mode. |
