Custom tempo adjust mapping in Traktor?
Posted on: 14.08.2012 by Vanna Hochstadt
Hello,

In the default X1 mapping in Traktor, if you press shift plus +/- tempo buttons on the X1, the tempo will adjust about 0.1 each time you push the button. If you look at the mapping in the default X1 mapping in the controller manager, it is set to "custom".

Now, if I add another controller and want to add tempo adjust in the same fashion, it's just not doable. Instead I get options like "fine" (which adjusts itself a bit randomly, either 0.2 or 0.1 each time I push the button). I forget the other options that are given off the top of my head, but none can emulate the "custom" tempo adjust setting in the default X1 mapping.

Does anyone know how to map the "custom" tempo adjust found in the default X1 mapping?

yes thats right I use the top encoder on K2. Its no big deal as I dont believe i really need to free up those two buttons. I believe my mapping is about as involved as I would like it, no need for extra functions at this point.

stewe, on a mapping I made recently I mapped 2 buttons, one to switch deck that is in focus to 2% pich fade and the other for 35%would your above mentioned idea be used instead of what I have mapped to achieve same finite adjustment for pitch.
