FX chains

FX chains

Hey guys, I have been reading as much as I can on here but I can't seem to find the answer to my main question. I have been working on an FX control mapping for my kaoss pad 3 and I have it working pretty good for the 2 FX units. However, I would like to expand it and turn traktor on to 4 FX unit mode. What I'd really like to do, is have FX unit 1 route through FX unit 3, and FX 2 through FX 4, essentially having access to 6 fx per 'block' then I'd use the mapping to turn on FX1 and 3 to that deck when the FX1 button is pressed, and FX2 and 4 to that deck when the FX2 button is pressed. It looks like something of this nature is going on with the 'instant gratification' mappings but for the life of my I can't find anything in traktor settings to permanently route FX1->FX3 and FX2->FX4.. is there a way to do this? It seems like when I switch to 4 FX unit mode all I get is FX1 is permanently assigned to deck A, and so on to FX4 assigned to deck D. So this is actually *less* functional than using 2 fx. There must be a way to daisy chain them the way I like though.. isn't there?

I use the NI S4 as my main controller and soundcard, but what I'm trying to do is get away from using those annoying recessed FX buttons altogether and program my Kaoss Pad 3 for full control of the 4 FX units. Once I can get FX1 routed through FX3, and FX2 through FX4 I'll be mucking around trying to make some FX combo mappings like the 'instant gratification' stuff I have read so much about on here.
