Set Min & Max Range Values in Traktor?
Set Min & Max Range Values in Traktor? Posted on: 31.08.2012 by Lakendra Kohutek Hello!I'm working on my first custom Traktor mapping using the Kontrol F1. Does anyone know if its possible to set a range value for parameters such as the "Low Adjust". I would like to assign the Bass EQ to a fader and then be able to slam it without going over 0db. Would appreciate any insight, thank you! | |

Kellie Myrum 31.08.2012 | Actually I have seen this request before on this community and trick would be to map "Low adjust" and set knob to be relative. That way you can decrease sensitivity to fit your fader's accuracy. |
Nedra Fresneda 31.08.2012 | Can't remember if you can do it in Traktor internally (don't have it near me atm) but if you are working in MIDI mode you can do it with the Controller Editor (the external application, not Traktor's mapping window) and tell that knob/fader only to send 0-64 values. |
Lakendra Kohutek 31.08.2012 | Correct, I want to be able to slam my fader to the top of the hardware, but have the software stop the bass eq from going past 0db. The default way Traktor works is to assign the full range of the bass eq aka "Low Adjust" to the full range of the hardware - which is of course -6db to +6db. Thus as you say, making 0db right smack in the middle of the fader. To me this is awkward and not performance oriented. I prefer to use a fader for the bass eq and not a knob, because its more fun! I am used to mapping in Ableton, where you can easily set a min/max range value for the parameters you are assigning. I don't see any obvious way to do this in Traktor, though I feel there must be a way somehow... hopefully! Thanks for your time! |
Kellie Myrum 31.08.2012 | Hi. Hope I get it right, you don't want your bass adjust go over 0db even if you do move fader more then a middle position and all the way right? |
