Traktor Kontrol X1 swap deck control mapping? Posted on: 14.08.2012 by Nakesha Brletich Hi, long time reader, first time poster =)I have an X1 I use with Traktor Scratch Pro 2.5.1 and I'd like to be able to swap its control of decks A+B or C+D on the fly. For example, hit a button on the X1 or a key on my keyboard and the X1 will change between controlling A+B and then C+D. Kind of like you can do on the S4. I looked through the Controller Manager options but couldn't find this anywhere. Does anybody have any ideas? Will it take a more involved hack to make this happen? Thanks! (I have an S4, but I'm spending more time doing "traditional DJ'ing" now with CDJs & sometimes Traktor Scratch so bringing the S4 to gigs and fitting into already cramped DJ booths is kind of cumbersome. I don't want to have to buy another X1 and carry two of them to gigs just to use the C+D decks occasionally.) | |

| Janyce Henningson 15.09.2012 | The X1 default mapping already uses the first 4 modifiers. So if you copied it for C & D using another modifier it would be a bit messy. You can change it to C & D in the preferences, or you can press Shift & Hotcue to put it into midi mode and map it that way. Do you have an F1? I have made an X1 exact copy for my F1 for C & D, which I toggle between the remix deck mapping. |
| Kellie Myrum 15.09.2012 | Hi guys, first you need to decide which button you want to press to engage/disengage A+B / C+D. Then map toggle modifier to that button so each time you press it modifier values would switch between 0-1. Add in Modifier 1 Modifier conditions / M1=0 Type of controller-button Interaction mode-direct Set to value-1 Add in Modifier 1 Modifier conditions / M1=1 Type of controller-button Interaction mode-direct Set to value-0 Now map all A+B commands with modifier condition M1-0 and for C+D set M1-1. |
