Reply to Mapping Filter Knob In Traktor

I am trying to map a filter knob to my mixtrack pro in Traktor Pro 2. But when i turn the assigned knob the filter will move to the according direction slightly or randomly depending if/how i adjusted the rotary sensitivity or not. I just want to be able to achieve a smooth sweep, any ideas where im going wrong??
