Weird problem with s4

Weird problem with s4
Posted on: 04.04.2011 by Neida Golie
For some reason sometimes when I load up T2 my s4 doesn't respond. I know I installed the drivers correctly and when i power up the s4 everything is fine, the device is recognized and all that jazz. The only way I can get the s4 to control TP2 is to restart my computer. It worked fine in the kontrol s4 software but not with TP2. It's starting to become a hassle.. Any idea on what could be causing this?

Might do a reinstall of the drivers.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was believeing.. After I made this post I made sure my s4 was fully plugged in and checked everything before powering it on and loading traktor. So far so good.. I'm also believeing it might happen when I unplug my s4 and use my headphones/speakers then plug it back in while leaving my headphones or whatnot still in the aux input

it's maybe too obvious, but did you check if the S4 default mapping is in place?

I had this problem once and it was after I unplugged my S4 for some reason. Normally it stays plugged in and on in the same spot.

i know the specs on my laptop have nothing to do with this issue.. it worked perfectly fine with the s4 software. i'm believeing it's some sort of driver issue.

but just to post.. its a PC runnin win 7 @ 2.4ghz and 4 gigs of ram

It only happened the first time I plugged it with the new software, driver reinstall fixed it (I did a time machine restore the previous day so that might be the cause in my case).
