S4 Monitor Out problem

S4 Monitor Out problem
Posted on: 26.04.2011 by Emiko Lucek
Hey guys, just noticed a problem with my S4. I just got it about a month ago and haven't taken it anywhere. Oddly enough, I noticed the phones jack is already broken. If I push the jack in half-way, music will come out one side of my headphones. If i push it in all the way, it only comes out the opposite side. I rarely use 2 ears for monitoring, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I also tried a few different adapters, believeing maybe it was just my 1/8" to 1/4" adapter, but no luck. Is this something I have to take up with NI or will i have to return it to DJTT?

Brilliant Mr. PJ

Seriously though - there is some debate about the S4's build quality - is it valid? IMO the quality is great. Saw the new Pioneer over the weekend - NO comparison (again IMO).

I can confirm, this same thing has happened to me -- and it made me fairly angry, however it no longer happens, and I didn't do anything to fix
