whats with the clicks?

just got my s4 today and so far I'm loving this little thing, but for some reason it keeps clicking and making weird noises. does the sound card just suck on these or is it just me?

also I'm running windows 7(64 bit) with 4 gigs of ram and a core2duo. I've been using traktor for about a year now and have never had this type of problem before.

PC here, and it was plug and play all the way too

Turn off any antivirus software you have running while you mess with Traktor

does it have the same problems on a mac? I'm believeing about buying a laptop soon and dont want to have to deal with this again.
What's that coming out as in ms? Have you tried turning it up a bit?

be careful with beta drivers.

finally got it working right just dowloaded the beta drivers and some freeware program called gameboost(I believe) that stops all unnecessary background services.

If you're buying a new laptop anyway then definitely consider a mac. It's generally much easier to make things work. It's a fallacy that you can't have traktor running reliably on windows though. Plenty of people have no problems.

check your screen saver settings, make sure its completely off or on "never"
as well as you power settings, also you might want to disconnect from the internet, these tricks helped me on my pc.

@PartyMark: yeha im on a desktop right now so I dont have any battery or wireless controllers, if i had a laptop for djing i would really not mind doing another partition and stripping I down, but seeing as how I'm on my main pc I'm pretty annoyed that I have to do all that just to get it to work the way it should work out of the box.

Check the sticky at the top of this community . I did a lot of the tweaks in that guide and my audio glitches went away on a win 7, core i3, 4gb ram laptop. The main things for me were to disable the battery APCI controller in the device manager and to disable wireless. I also uninstalled all unnecessary programs. Stopped all unnecessary services and processes and generally went through each step of the computer to optimize it.
