Dirt in my S4, need help / advice on possibly cleaning Played a river party last weekend and it was pretty windy. I had a towel to cover when I switched off with the other DJs, but when I played I could see that my S4 was getting covered in a fine dust. I dusted off the top as best I could using a fine-bristle paintbrush, but I know there is quite a bit of dirt inside. The biggest issue is the faders / pitch now feels sightly gritty and rough when I move them around. Is it safe to use, say, WD-40, razor / trimmer lubricant, etc., on these sliders? If so, does anyone have experience doing this? I definitely do not want to attempt taking this beast apart. The other DJ brought his 2000s / 800 out and mentioned he would be "sending it in for cleaning" - does N.I. offer this as a service? Searches around didn't turn up too terribly much on this topic, so any help is greatly appreciated. | |
