s4 with tpro 2 epic success Posted on: 09.05.2011 by Porsche Pilliod have to say: just got a new macbook pro and was scared to go straight to installing tpro 2 on it due to reading community
s and hearing it was a evening
mare with the s4. anyway i had the balls to install it along with the new s4 drivers and everything works flawlessly, fingers crossed. even calibration, no issues at all and everyone has been saying they'd had trouble getting it to work in 2. thanks traktor for being great software. maybe i'm just lucky, or maybe most issues were with pc. | |

Nedra Fresneda 25.06.2011 | Before analysing a pregridded track in T2 right click it and select "Lock BPM" (you can do it with multiple items at a time). This prevents the grid from moving. |
Porsche Pilliod 25.06.2011 | 2 things i found: i noticed old tracks still have saved cue points but the grid will now be pretty weird in tp2, however if you re-analyze in tp2 the grid will be back to perfect like s4 and cue points remain, no problem. also, for the sync issue @kevening softheround was mentioning, by default tp2 sync mode is to sync tempo. in prefs. change it to sync beats. now my tp2 feels exactly like s4 version only better. |
Mandy Lupone 13.05.2011 | Some tracks i use has been analyzed again in tp2, and sometimes the grid has skewed just and smal amount away from the right position. So i have to nudge the grid a little to correct it again. dunno its the same case for you? |
Aracely Mcalvey 13.05.2011 | I don't know the source of the problem, but Traktor S4 on my PC worked flawlessly...Traktor 2 on my MBP just.....isn't as tight. I'm not sure what it is. I haven't installed T2 on my PC yet, so I don't know if it's a software issue or a MBP issue....if using the sync button, everything would stay really tight in sync in S4....not the case in Traktor 2. |
Porsche Pilliod 10.05.2011 | also now i have a 128gb SSD hard drive, tpro 2 starts up in like 4 seconds! |
Mandy Lupone 10.05.2011 | Good to hear its more of us experiensing the same thing Love the Mac Os X more and more i get used to it. Jump straight to TP2 when i got it and works flawless. Only 1 1/2 week to next gig, and i cant wait! Damn Repport writing for my bachelor degree! |
Bridget Liner 10.05.2011 | Chalk it up to PC issues. I love my Mac Book Pro I got with my S4 and can't believe I didn't make the switch sooner. When I bootup my Windows laptop I want to toss it out the window. |
