Hercules DJ Console RMX
Hercules DJ Console RMX Posted on: 26.05.2008 by robert chanda Ooh, this one looks, er, familiar.http://hercules.com/us/DJ-Music/bdd/...j-console-rmx/ The press releases say it's for professional DJs. Because Professional DJs really dig it when the box says "As Seen On TV" on the outside. | |

Look in Preferences --> Layout Manager and you will see a checkbox labeled Crossfader. Hope that helps. |

Hercules makes one available here --> ftp://ftp.hercules.com/sound/TDJS/current/TP_DJ_Rmx.zip Unzip the above file into your Traktor Settings folder. Mine is located in <user>/Documents/Native Instruments/Traktor/Settings (I use MS Vista - adjust to your situation). Start up Traktor and import the TP_DJ_Rmx.tsi that you just unzipped by going into the Preferences menu, selecting Import and then browsing to the above file. Finally, start playing with the sliders/pots/buttons on the RMX to make sure they are registering in Traktor. There is a small MIDI indicator at the top of the screen that should light up whenever you touch any of the above. Also, there are instructions in the zip file that tell you what function is assigned to each button/pot/slider as well as a map of the MIDI CC assignments for each control so that you can customize the controls (highly recommended you tweak the default mappings to your liking - it's fun). Let us know how it goes. |
Catharine Ashment 01.01.2009 | Hiya, (first post actually) don't have the new one, but i have a older console MKII, and from what I've encountered with Hercs stuff (as awesome as it is) their "updates" can be a little wonky. When i got my MKII loaded the default software, plugged it in, set it up right and off i went. then they released a firmware update for it (and new software) and everything went to heck. to get it back werking right, had to uninstall the whole process, reinstall my computers sound drivers, then installed the unit only using the new version. I'm guessing it might just be bad updates. not replacing the older version correctly then causing problems. Try their tech support email addy, their pretty quick with a reply. dont know if any of that helps. |
Sheilah Holtrop 31.12.2008 | DAMN, The console stopped working... |
Sheilah Holtrop 31.12.2008 | :dthis Is Fun!!!!!! |

Sheilah Holtrop 31.12.2008 | I got version 1.0.0 Should I update? The only update I find is version 1.0.2 I updated 2 days ago and in the traktor screen My internal mixer had no crossfader knob... So I uninstalled it and reinstalled my original software... |
Earl Ancelet 30.12.2008 | DJ Joe -- I googled the error ""Accessor information has unknown version, Therefore it has been ignored." and came up with a few hits. In all cases, the person getting that error was using version 1.0.0 of Traktor Pro and was able to get around the problem by updating to version 1.0.1. The current version is 1.0.2. Which version are you running? Have you tried updating to the latest version? |
Sheilah Holtrop 30.12.2008 | Error reads "Acessor information has unknown version, Therefore it has been ignored. I have no idea what that means... |

Sheilah Holtrop 30.12.2008 | Hey empolo, It didnt work... At the bottom of traktor pro a warning appears saying application has been ignored... I don't know what to do and Native Instruments has not been a big help... |
Sheilah Holtrop 29.12.2008 | Thanks guys I will this and let you know the outcome... You guys have been so helpful!!!!!! |

Roberto Viccione 29.12.2008 | Have you set the MIDI inputs in Traktor? |
Sheilah Holtrop 30.12.2008 | I've had my Rmx console for about two months... I really like it... virtual dj could use some upgrades but it gets the job done... I heard it works good with Traktor Pro so I went and got it this past weekend... Now I am all stressed out for the reason that I Can't configure The console to work with the Traktor software... Can anyone out there help me? I have some gigs lined up and no working software. I can't find my virtual dj back up... |
Mauro Greenville 18.12.2008 | seriously considering going for one of these - how has it been behaving for the users above in the past few months? have you gigged with it? |
Random X 16.07.2008 | Except for the kogs, it looks good. Hate those jogs... *~barf~* |
Serge Alyokhin 05.07.2008 | I just got mine today, so far so good, I plan to spend tomorrow mapping it out with Traktor, I shall let you know how it goes. |
Kristian Gorenc 30.06.2008 | I have had mine for about 2 months now and love it. There are some latency issues but it was stemming from my outdated PC and not the controller it's self. I also paired it with an M-Audio trigger finger for my effects and samples. Using it to play out has never been easier. |
KEINT STIKOVSKY 27.06.2008 | I wish there was more written about this...but, I just ordered one, so I'll write something as soon as I have more info. I was doing a little research, and on the NI Traktor community s one of the users got 10.5ms latency time (after some tweaking). You can read more about that here. I'll offer some feedback once I've had time to play around with it. |
Serge Alyokhin 21.06.2008 | For the MSRP of $349 it doesn't look too bad. Has anyone tried it out yet? |
Kristian Gorenc 27.05.2008 | I found this and was a little skeptical but not wanting to start off by dropping 2G's on the Allen&Heath setup I was really surprised and this thing schools the numark total control it has a built in sound card so you can monitor and playback without having a second addon card in you lappy or desktop. Dont judge a book by it's cover. thats all i am saying |
