the custom concept

i'm a ways off from wanting to build my own controller...still settling in to digital djing in general. but i love seeing these custom units a lot of you are making. even within similar constraints people are coming up with really unique ideas...like making the jump to the arcade buttons...and then unique controllers like the MidiFighter.

People are getting creative with enclosure design, materials, control configuration and layout.

And to add to it, people are really starting to push the boundaries of what the softwares can do, using all kinds of dj and production techniques to manipulate the sound on the fly. Midi programming is getting a lot more sophisticated...giving more options and influencing controller design and performance techniques.

It's literally like every point is influencing every other point. And the end users get to play a big part in the whole thing...

I'm kinda new, and i'm really just stating the obvious, but yeah cool stuff.
