Do you know about the Mawser

Hello guys, I'm surprised this piece of gear didn't appear when I tried the search function.

The Mawser is a midi controller that comes as a kit, not in the DIY sense, in the 'choose which type of elements you like'.
You choose a 'frame' (the size of the controller which defines how many items you'll be able to pick up. Each item takes 4 slots and the controller comes in two 'sizes'. 64 & 128 slots. Note that the case of the controller is a flight case in itself).

I believe the concept in itself is really cool even if I have doubts about the size and the lack of sexyness in terms of pure design.

Yes I understood it was presented two years ago.
But it made me thought about the next to come release of the midi fighter.
I would dream to find a company that would allow me to customize my own controller (in terms of types of controls). For me the midi fighter is GREAT stuff but I dream to have DTT providing other types of elements (that may come as I've read) as 'individual blocks' (block of arcade push buttons like the Midi fighters is an example) that could fit together and bought as a complete controller like the MawZer (^^ stupid search).

I know I could go the DIY but I don't have the 'time' (like anyone else I'm doing way many things so I have to make choices) to learn the skills needed (even basics) and there's no 'spot on' good controller around. All have great features but at the same time they also all lack 'things' or aspects.

I am pretty sure there was a thread on this but your right, search doesnt turn up anything... how odd

Edit:
Wait scrap what i just said, if you search for MawZer then threads turn up, but there hasnt been a dedicated thread for it yet

The Mawzer is OLD news. I'd be surprised if it EVER materialises...

A tad expensive for my taste... but I guess that lends to the fact that I'm a poor college student.

I really like the idea behind this thing, and I believe it would be quite amazing if they let 3rd party developers design "plug-ins" (haha) to interface with their design. It would be cool to see the sheer amount of innovation that this thing would take on!
