recommended powered USB hubs? Posted on: 29.12.2009 by Chau Honrado I couldnt find a thread already on this topic, basically this is something im sure the majority of mac based djs have encountered at one point or another, im using a Macbook and its only got two USB ports, i currently need 3 usb 2.0 powered ports and with the addition of a vci-100se im going to need four! ive currently got two hubs but neither came with a supply and i havent got one kicking out the right ampage, but for the cost of buying a supply i could buy a whole new hub, SO can anyone recommend some good usb hubs with external power supplys? theres hundereds out there, just wondering if anyone has had any particularly good ones? many thanks | |

Ammie Wiesner 31.12.2009 | The only suggestion I can provide is to stick with a 4 port powered hub. The powered hubs I've used with 7+ ports haven't been able to provide sufficient power when all the ports are in use (and drawing power). |
