| Howard Roytman 29.01.2010 | Thanks for the replies. I picked it up today, gave him €200 in the end so happy days! Everything works as it should although the right side jog feels a bit sloppy, as in there's lateral movement as well as radial. I followed the jog maintenance advice mentioned elsewhere on the site and had a look inside but it looks like mechanical wear of the nylon bushing that supports the jog spindle, rather than anything that can just be tightened up. Will Vestax themselves sell me spare parts? Or will I have to go through an agent? I've searched the community and seen no mention of a parts supplier. |

| juan garcia 25.01.2010 | It's a very solid controller that i wouldn't have a problem buying used. some things to watch for -check for signs it was dropped. scuffs in corners and/or pots that aren't straight etc. -check the jogwheels, its somewhat common that one jogwheel will spin more freely then the other...there are little plastic screws that you can adjust, but if there is grinding or other non-smoothness it could be a sign it was dropped. I read here i believe or somewhere that this happened even in the original packaging if the packaging was dropped/mishandled. other then maybe opening it up to blow dust out or tighten those plastic pins, i wouldn't do much on the inside. These midi controllers should work for years with very little to no internal maintenance, provided you keep it away from all those things that can damage electrical gear . good luck. welcome to the community s |
