Ruiz dB 27.03.2009 | Yeah I came across this while trying to figure out how to make a DIY APC40 (i.e. a 64 button Ableton controller with faders etc...) The cost is reportedly about $699 US... $300 more than the APC40... On a side note, I was looking to incorporate the UMC32 MIDI USB chip offered by Hale Micro in a DIY project, but it only supports up to 32 inputs... at $75 dollars a pop, I'd probably have to use at least 3 of them making it cost ineffective to compete with simply buying the APC40... Has anyone used MidiBox? I'm not afraid of programming chips... but I'm not to keen on electronic components which is why the prebuilt UMC32 was attractive... Anyway, the Ohm64 is pretty nice with the wood finish... I feel like I'd have to drink wine instead of beer while using it... |
Random X 26.03.2009 | Yeah, but if I am correct, Livid will also provide these controllers with composite and complete metal casing, so not all is lost. |
Florence Alch 26.03.2009 | Unless I made it myself I don't want a wooden controller. Looks like a good piece of gear though |
Random X 26.03.2009 | Yeah, for me that's, a downer to be honest. I would not buy a controller with wood grain. |
Dj Daxsen 25.03.2009 | but come onnnnn, the apc40 doesn't have that nice wood grain! |

Elaina Hoerger 25.03.2009 | haha that thing is pretty funky fresh for a controller.. how much is it? |
Dj Daxsen 25.03.2009 | That + 2 x XP10s or 2 x OTUS RAW and you're set. |
Random X 25.03.2009 | Oeh.. nice... Added Rotaries! I like! |
