Quick and Easy DIY footswitch for under $20
Quick and Easy DIY footswitch for under $20 Posted on: 10.03.2010 by Reid Vallet I just finished my first really useful DIY project: a CHEAP footswitch using an old Fender stomp-box enclosure and a thrift-store USB joystick. With the freeware app "Joy2Key" you can remap joystick actions to keypresses, which allows me to trigger any action within Traktor Pro! http://www.studiogangstas.net/matts-blog.html Let me know what you believe! (PS: This is my first post to DJTechTools, so go easy on me) | |

Graham Frazier 19.03.2010 | Hell yeah... I've made at least 20 sustain pedals/foot switches out of left over pushbuttons, guitar cables, and what ever i can find to use as an enclosure. My favorite was an old cigarette tin with the button sandwiched in the middle tape to a piece of wood for the weight, the thing was awesome for what it was.... |
DJ MENSAH 18.03.2010 | Could have used the old USB keyboard and there is no need for intermediate software. |
Reece Murray 10.03.2010 | Great job man, repurposing second-hand stuff is the way to go. A good footswitch can go a LONG way! |
