Donky Kong bongos Posted on: 18.04.2010 by Darell Lesicko so im harvesting some old donky kong bongos for their pads and i got em apart and im not sure how to wire them with these chips to a umc-32 would i wire them like a momentary switch and would they be digital or analog? each of the two pads has two hit spots one on top (chip with blue wire) and bottom(white wire) wired separately off course | |

Darell Lesicko 18.04.2010 | its for a midi project im making and i believe they're cool :P |
Matthew Urtel 18.04.2010 | looks like one big push button with a positive and negative, nothing special. I honestly see nothing worth taking out of it, just recycle it. |
Darell Lesicko 18.04.2010 | oh ill be mounting it on something else the bongos were put together with rivets so i couldn't just take it apart :/ but theres 2 pads each with 2 hit spots each |
robin loo 18.04.2010 | it's digital, i would just leave the hit spots as they are and solder the end of the small pcb to the umc32, if just dont get why there are only 2 wires for 2 buttons, there must be a ground.. could you make some more pictures from the inside? is there enough space to mount the umc inside and maybe add some arcade buttons on the body of the drums |
