Anyone have an X-Session Pro?? Posted on: 20.04.2010 by Ralph Finuf Just got one today, its a nifty little device and I have it really nicely mapped to TP.Only problem is, I also have a VCI, and they both run on Midi Channel 1 and have conflicting messages for certain functions. Does anyone who have one know how to change the settings so I can get it set up on a different MIDI channel?? Or does anyone know how to get the VCI on a different channel? Thanks | |

cala mar 21.04.2010 | it is a very good simple unit, i briefly owned one ages ago as you can see from that post as an extra fx controller. I believe this is the second or third time ive had to reference that post on changing the midi channel, maybe we need to update the stickys to have specific midi contoller guides. I believe between all the geeks on this community
we have a lot of valuable knowledge of many different controllers, it's just hard to make it accessible to people. More to the point they need to look harder. |
Audrey Pinda 21.04.2010 | I have my x-session pro, and have to say it was a great expense of my money. I have messed around with some custom mappings, but I'm really loving it for the simple versatility I'm getting out of it at the moment with Ableton. The ability to have 4 faders, 12 knobs has made playing around and practicing mixing in ableton a lot of fun. |
Ralph Finuf 20.04.2010 | You are a genius sir. I was pressing the wrong button after the a button. Works great now, thank you thank you!!! |
cala mar 20.04.2010 | just use that guide it will make your xsession pro permanently send over ch2 unless you change it back to ch1 by using the same instructions. then re-learn all your mappings for its controls in traktor (you may be able to go through and just change the ch1 to ch2 manually but it will be quicker imo to just re-learn. EDIT: the software SHOULD work the same for mac i was just using the windows version thats all. |

I.e. the device itself needs to be sending out info on channel 2, so I'm trying to figure out how to do so. If anyone knows how to do that I'd appreciate. Sorry about the two threads, but I was getting anything on the other one so I thought I'd try a different angle. |

Matthew Urtel 20.04.2010 | MidiOx, Bomes or go to each control and change it to channel 2 under midi mapping. I have no idea what Enigma is, I just plugged it in and started mapping, so there was really no reason for it. And honestly bro, no reason for two threads in 2 seperate subcommunity s. |
Ralph Finuf 20.04.2010 | On a side note to this, I know about Enigma, M-audio's midi mapper program. However, what I have a MIDI monitoring program that is spitting out completely different info than what Enigma is saying is set up. Any ideas how to fix this? |
