Lag tweaking - Traktor + Ableton
Lag tweaking - Traktor + Ableton Posted on: 20.05.2010 by Perla Boysen Hi!I've just set up my Traktor Pro (1.26) and Ableton Live 8 so that Traktor feeds audio and MIDI clock to Ableton. I use VAC 4.10 + ASIO4ALL for the audio routing, with final output from Ableton to my Presonus Firebox soundcard. For MIDI syncing I use Midi Yoke and MidiOx for MIDI controller setup. I have a VCI-100 (FW 1.3), a MIDI keyboard and a homemade midicontroller. It all works quite good, but there is a slight delay when I use the VCI (only controller which controls Traktor), so that I have to initiate control about 5-15ms before the change is heard on final audio output. It feels a bit unnatural to issue controls "before the beat". Is there any way to minimize/tweak this lag? Thanks for reading! Sivesgaard | |

Treasa Maffucci 20.05.2010 | i havent tried this, but i believe there is a midi clock offset setting somewhere in the preferences that you can mess with to get the two programs synced up. |
