solid state drives/optibays
solid state drives/optibays Posted on: 20.05.2010 by Gena Tautolo i'm believeing about modding my mac, putting in an optibay and using a low capacity SSD for my OS and applications and a 500 GB HDD for my music/videos/photos. question is how will that affect DJing performance/latency - obviously traktor/serato will be stored on the SSD so should be superfast but the music files will be on the HDD so does that mean that my performance will be limited by the speed on the HDD? thanks! | |

Jayne Yellowhair 20.05.2010 | A 'standard' harddisk shouldn't be the bottleneck anyway.. SSD or not, doesn't make a difference edit: for Traktor operation, that is |
